Association - Kingston District Chapter
To provide leadership in the direction of all activities of the Chapter consistent with the
provincial association’s strategies, objectives and policies. To be its principal liaison with
the Association. Responsible for operating the Chapter effectively to meet the needs of
the members and to ensure conformance with Chapter and HRPAO bylaws.
Reports to:
The Chapter President reports to the members of the Chapter, and to the HRPA Board
of Directors, through the President of HRPA.
Responsibilities:
1. The President shall preside in all general membership meetings and all meetings of
the Chapter Board of Directors, and conduct these in good order, in accordance with
the Chapter Bylaws.
2. The President shall hold offices of Membership Director and/or Government
Affairs Liaison if one is not appointed.
3. Directs the activities of all officers and directors, as well as standing committees
to ensure the accomplishment of chapter strategies and objectives.
4. The President shall be an ex-officio member of all Committees of the Chapter.
5. Is accountable for the allocation, accounting and handling of chapter funds.
Requirements:
Must be an HRPA member in good standing elected by the Chapter membership.
Normally this individual would have served on several Chapter Committees and in at
least one other Chapter Executive position other than President- Elect (or Vice-
President). It is recommended that the Chapter President have their CHRP designation.
