Position Summary
To accept overall responsibility and accountability for the planning, organizing and
facilitation of the regular membership meetings of the Chapter and to serve as a
member of the Executive of the Chapter
Duties and Responsibilities
1. To provide a plan for the events (dates, possible topics, budget etc.) for
discussion at the Strategic Planning session for the executive.
2. To develop and continually update a Pre-Event Checklist to be used by the
Event Planner to ensure the event runs smoothly.
3. To act as Event Planner for each event unless another member/members of the
Executive wants to be responsible for the event.
4. In conjunction with the Event Planner determine the number of Sponsors for an
event
5. To be responsible for the collection, collation and reports on the statistics
gathered from the scheduled events. Share results with the executive.
6. Responds to requests from potential speakers
7. To attend and participate in general membership and scheduled meetings of the
Executive.
8. To complete assigned tasks within agreed upon deadlines.
9. To share information on Programs with HRPA and area chapters

5. Excellent interpersonal skills/relations
6. Ability to interact with senior management personnel
7. Demonstrated responsibility and accountability for completing tasks/projects
within required time frame and budget
Requirements
1. Must be a HRPA member in good standing
Desired experience
1. Served as a member of the executive for at least two years
