Position Objective:
Liaises between the local chapter and students enrolled in the Human Resources
Management programs. The student representative promotes and supports the
attainment of the CHRP designation by liaising with their peers.
Reports to: Membership Development Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Actively promotes student involvement and student membership
- Act as a representative of the students to the local chapter
- Voice the concerns of the students to the chapter executive
- Announce to the students dates and times of all upcoming events and distribute
flyers with registration details
- Foster strong relationship building amongst chapter members
- Work with the executive on the achievement of chapter goals and objectives
- Primary organizer of the March breakfast aimed at acknowledging Student
Placement Supervisors in the community
- Attend monthly executive meetings
- Contribute articles to the Chapter newsletter
- Distributes and collects membership feedback sheets at events. Compiles the
results and reports to the executive.
- Coordinate additional student volunteers when necessary to assist with various
events
Requirements:
Must be a full time student enrolled in a Human Resources Management program.
Must be able to devote sufficient volunteer time to the duties of the position to ensure
that the necessary responsibilities are fulfilled.
